Delegation to UNCROC in Geneva - 15 and 16 September

Mereana Ruri, Deputy Chair of ACYA, is leading a ten member delegation of observers
at the New Zealand Government’s Sessional Hearing before the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, scheduled for 15th and 16th September in Geneva (Session 73).
The elected observers for ACYA are Mereana, Andrea Jamison and Vanushi Walters. Other ACYA members of the Delegation are Anton Blank and Papatuanuku Nahi.
UNICEF is represented by Vivien Maidaborn and Prudence Stone. Sonja Cooper from Cooper Legal is also in the Delegation.
We are delighted that Children’s Commissioner, Judge Andrew Becroft, is also attending the Session, along with John Hancock from the Human Rights Commission.

The 73rd session will be broadcast live online - click to view at www.treatybodywebcast.org.
The video files will be available for download from the same website soon after the completion of the 73rd session
