Book Launch - Children's Rights: Towards Social Justice by Anne Smith

ACYA was pleased to be invited to celebrate the launch of this latest book by Emerita Professor Anne Smith in the rooms of the Royal Society in Wellington.

A special lunchtime seminar was organised by the Child Wellbeing Network and supported by the Children's Charity - Variety. It was well attended, the audience including students, academics, public servants, Members of Parliament, and the Children's Commissioner - Dr Russell Wills.

The speakers were Professor Anne Smith, Dr Sarah Te One (Chair of ACYA), and Lizzie Marvelly, an ambassador for Variety.
Professor Smith's book demonstrates how a child rights framework is useful for those involved in research, policy, and practice with children and young people.
