The government has responded to the List of Issues

The government has issued its response to the HR Committee List of Issues. Matters affecting children are:

Q4 Para 12-16 Family Court
Q8 Para 34-38 Operation 8 Ruatoki
Q16 Para 91-102 Tasers
Q17 Para 103-106 Trafficking
Q22 Para 123-131 Rights of the child
Q23 Para 132-139 Child Maltreatment
Q24 Para 137-139 Minimum Age for Prosecution

We addressed these issues in our January submission to HR Committee, without knowledge of the Government response.

The meeting with Committee is during the 98th session 8-26 March 2010 New York. The outcome report will be useful for the CRC 2010 report.
